The Promised Land
The Promised Land is Grace Ogot’s first full-length work. It is an exciting story of a tragedy that befalls a Luo emigrant family in Tanzania (the Tanganyika). It is a story simply and powerfully told, and adroitly captures the social tensions of life in rural Kenya.
