No Longer at Ease
No Longer At Ease is Achebe’s second novel to be published, after Things Fall Apart (first published 1958). Indeed the two novels were initially drafted as one story but the draft was ultimately divided into separate, but related, books. Like its predecessor – Things Fall Apart (whose hero is Obi Okonkwo’s grandfather) – the tells of the story of an African man tragically under the pressure from a changing world.
