No wonder then they take little notice of industrialist Leo Adam Agade. A reluctant politician, in the running at the behest of his foresighted wife who believes her husband can bring positive change, Adam is campaigning on a platform of honesty, self-driven development and uplifting of people’s plight – a hitherto unknown breed of politician in the region.
Margaret A. Ogola’s novel, The River and The Source, won the Jomo Kenyatta Prize for Literature and the Commonwealth Writer’s Prize for the Best First Book, African region in 1995. She is also the author of I swear by Apollo and Educating in Human Love. In addition to her writing career, Dr. Margaret Ogola served as a pediatrician and medical director of Cottolengo Hospice for HIV and AIDs orphans. She is survived by her husband, George Ogola and their six children.
