Teddy Mapesa, his best friend Chris and the other Class Six pupils are excited about the upcoming class trip to the National Park. At the same time, the sister to Teddy’s desk mate, Muthoni, is run over by a careless matatu driver. Teddy and Chris come up with a secret plan to help Muthoni’s sister but it ends up landing them in serious trouble. Will they manage to help their friend before the plan is uncovered?
Hillary Namunyu is a trained journalist, writer and literary editor based in Nairobi. He is also a reading ambassador for Start-A-Library and has held many sessions in various primary schools across Kenya. ”Teddy Mapesa and the Missing Cash” is his first book and was shortlisted for the Golden Baobab Prize for Children’s Literature in 2014.
