Adaptive Leadership
It is a fact that times have changed. During the industrial era, economies were stable and prevalent leadership style was ‘carrot and stick’ type. We are now in the era of knowledgeable worker, necessitating the leadership to do what would enable them to keep up with the changing times. Leadership is a key component within every person, and striving for adaptive leadership skills is a need deserving our attention in life continuum. This calls for transformational leadership that is geared towards instilling confidence in the workers in an effort to draw upon the acquired knowledge for the benefit of the company. To meet challenges in this era of volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity (VUCA), leaders and their followers need to grow from one level to another. This book is about how to develop transformational leaders, creative individuals who, among other things, involve as many employees as possible in decision making in an effort to keep the business responsive to continuously changing times. Needless to say, Adaptive Leadership is a much needed reference book today for leaders both in public and in individual establishments.
