Amakesi Ka Bakhulundu

This book is a collection of selected Abakhero-Abasere-Abahere stories, songs, proverbs and idioms since the language is broad and the items are many. The book attempts to revive the wisdom within us so as the present and future generations will know that they have inherited a great wealth from the creator.

The wisdom of our ancestors is evident in the following activities: songs. metalwork, pottery, basketry, making fishing nets, building houses and granaries, carpentry and making of dairy equipment. All are tersely described and explained in this book.

About The Author

Chrispinus O. Mukhule

Chrispinus Odhiambo Mukhule is a Kenya Navy Officer. He has written ‘The History and Culture of The Abakhero People of Western Kenya (2008)’ including an article on Mt. Nyirangongo volcanic eruption near Goma town in Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo in January 2001. Also, under production, are a number of historical and cultural volumes written by him.
