Erick Livumbizi Ngoda developed a deep love for the written word at a very early age and grew up literally with his nose stuck in a book. His stories were published in Kenyan newspapers and magazines while he was still in school, and his first book soon after. He mainly writes young adult literature and coming of age stories. He was the recipient of the William Burt Award for African Literature 2013 and the inaugural Worldreader Anasoma Award 2017.
